  2. You’re a lot tougher than we are–anyways, the best thing for herpes virus is selenium, so, if you ever go through a larger town with a health food store get the highest amount per capsule and take at least 2/d

  3. Merry Christmas to you both! Now I feel a bit guilty for booking a 2 week hiking trip in Switzerland where I don’t have to carry my backpack. What a lazy bum I am! Seriously, you two are inspiring, and a great reminder how important it is to stay fit!

    1. Best of the season to you and Tonya. So the word is out that there is going to be a ninja gym in Squamish. Are people saying “why didn’t I think of that?” or “ are you crazy?” Whatever the case may be I’m sure it’s going to be a great success. Way to go!

      1. A few people thought about it but that’s not the same as doing something about it. Acting before thinking too much can make a big difference. The general reaction has been a lot of “OMG, my kids are going to wet themselves!”

PS We are enjoying some fine Scotch and looking out from our cozy home at Vancouver’s winter rain🙂

  6. Great stuff Jim. Love hearing the familiar place names – we had a similar path through that stretch. We crossed then next border crossing north of Hua Hum over Paso Carririne in Parc Lanin – Was very scenic through the park and a very small border crossing on a gravel road into Chile- granted it was a bit of a hill climb up there. Merry Christmas!

    1. We heard that Paso Carririne was even harder than Hua Hum which was washboardy and loose. Border crossing was a nightmare – they confiscated all our dried fruit and our bag of trail mix. We’ve crossed the Chilean border 3x without any concerns about dried fruit. Oh well…..but still, left a bad taste in my mouth!

Ciao.
